How to know if you’re pushing him away…
So you met an amazing man and everything was going perfect between the two of you. Or so you thought.
Then, fast as lightning, he bolted for the door.
When it comes to relationships, women and men can have different perspectives. From first date etiquette to when they should sleep together, the outlooks are diverse.
However, when a man pulls away from the woman he’s dating, it usually happens for a specific reason.
Here are 3 HUGE mistakes for how to know if you’re pushing him away…
1. You’re needy
If there’s anything that will send any man running it’s a woman who’s needy. Yes, it’s good to show affection and let him know you’re thinking about him, but when he starts to become your end all be all, he may feel overwhelmed. When this happens there’s a good chance he will pull away to reclaim his independence.
What’s even worse is when you show him you’re falling head over heels for him too early on. Relationships are supposed to be fun and enjoyable in the beginning, and thus, showing him that you’re already planning your future together could scare him away. Instead of revealing your feelings too soon, it’s very important that you stay calm and composed.
Remember, when a man senses that you want more from him than he’s currently willing to give, his natural impulse is to pull away.
2. You’re insecure
Studies have revealed that 97% of women are dissatisfied with their bodies at least once per day.
However, when it comes to dating and relationships, showing your insecurities is never a good idea. Yes, it’s good to be comfortable enough to talk about your workouts at the gym or the new healthy diet you’re on with your man, but if you’re asking him “do these pants make me look overweight” or nagging anytime another woman talks to him, all you’re doing is digging your own relationship grave…
The problem is that once your insecurities start to show it can be very difficult to get back to the way things were. Rather than pushing him further away with your self-doubt, let him see your positive, happy side and he’ll become even more hooked on you.
A good strategy is to imagine that every date with your man is the first date because you would never let him see this part of you on the first date. 3. You’re unhappy without him
Just because you feel good when you’re with him, doesn’t mean he’s not aware of your negativity when he’s not around. In fact, once he realizes he’s your only source of happiness, he’s likely to pull away.
The issue here is that this type of situation will make him feel pressure to keep you happy, and that’s a huge responsibility for anyone! Rather than relying on him to keep you smiling, make the most of your days. Enjoy the things you love. When you do this, not only will you be making yourself feel good, but the overall quality of your relationship will improve as well.
